Mutual support and Stress Management for Parents of children with Developmental Delays facilitated by a parent with experience. A parent-lead mutual support self-group is now open to all primary caretakers, (moms, dads, grandparents, adult siblings, etc) of children with a developmental delay or disability. Each meeting will include opportunities to meet and develop friendships with people facing similar challenges, share successes, and learn from each other's struggles. Specific topics related to parenting special kids and the unique needs of our families will be presented for the group discussion and the group will be encouraged to create its own topics. Laughter, tears and quiet observations are equally valued, and all points of view will be honored and respected.
